From December 24 to 26, 2025, the 10th Southeast University International Forum for Young Scholars was successfully held, bringing together outstanding young scholars from around the world and providing an important platform for academic exchange, cooperation, and shared development. On the afternoon of December 26, the Session of the School of Statistics and Data Science was successfully convened, where promising young scholars from related fields at home and abroad gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on frontier topics in statistics and data science and to explore new directions for disciplinary development.

The session was chaired by Zhiyuan Liu, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch. On behalf of the School, Prof. Liu extended a warm welcome to all participating scholars. He noted that the School attaches great importance to the introduction and cultivation of young talent. The forum, he said, was intended to provide a platform for young scholars to present their academic achievements, exchange ideas, and deepen mutual understanding, with the goal of jointly advancing the future development of the discipline.

During the presentation session, the invited young scholars took the stage one by one to share their latest research findings and academic insights. With clear logic, well-articulated viewpoints, solid evidence, and rigorous analysis, they demonstrated strong academic excellence and promising research potential. Faculty members and students listened attentively and participated actively in the discussions, creating a lively and intellectually engaging academic atmosphere. Afterwards, Jiashun Jin, Professor of the School of Statistics and Data Science, together with Zhiyuan Liu, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch presented souvenirs to the participating scholars.

At the conclusion of the session, Prof. Jin delivered the closing remarks and highly praised the scholars for their excellent presentations. He emphasized that the School is actively fostering a stronger environment for research innovation and talent development, and sincerely welcomed outstanding young scholars from around the world to join the School and work together in pursuing new academic achievements.

The successful holding of this session not only promoted academic exchange and collaboration among young scholars from China and abroad, but also further enhanced the academic visibility and influence of the School. It injected fresh momentum into talent recruitment and the advancement of the discipline. Looking ahead, the School of Statistics and Data Science will continue to build high-level academic exchange platforms, gather global wisdom with greater openness, and support the growth and success of outstanding young scholars.
